Chef Chan of the famous Liao Fan Soya Sauce Chicken stall has teamed up with Hersing Culinary to open the first Hawker Chan along Smith Street, in a modern and air-conditioned environment. Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle starts at S$4.50.
There is plenty to explore in Chinatown Singapore and its vicinity to walk off the calories after a sumptuous meal.

Third Outlet of Liao Fan (Hawker Chan) Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle is in "18 Tai Seng" Shopping Mall which also houses other Michelin-star restaurants such as Tim Ho Wan (dim sum) and Tsuta Ramen. The signature Soya Sauce Chicken Rice is priced at $3.80. Other offerings include Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle ($4.50), Soya Sauce Chicken Hor Fun ($4.50), Roasted Pork Rice ($4.50), Char Siew Rice ($4.00) and Pork Ribs Rice ($4.00). A whole Soya Sauce Chicken is priced at $25.00, while half cost $13.00. Ordering works on a self-service electronic system, and the placement of tables made the space a bit cramped.

We were there at 11.20am and there were still some empty seats available. The ordering process is very fast, but we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food. Everything is self service. The verdict: Good food at reasonable price, will definitely go back.
