The technology, certification, and the performance data (reduces 66 contaminants) all look impressive, together with a very reasonable price tag, this is a very attractive water filter to have at home. The filtered water tastes excellent as it preserves healthy minerals. However some of the problems encountered were the water flow is slow, it takes quite a while to fill it up, the faucet connection is faulty and leaking, it is difficult to replace the filter.

Always happy with it, but over the last year, replacement parts and filters are not anything that they used to be. The faucet connection is faulty - even the replacement leaked. BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend. This thing offers me peace-of-mind. The water tastes good and the filter removes so much more than the Brita I had been using. It's also nice and small. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. I have used Aquasana countertop filter for 15+ years. The water quality from this filter is excellent. I use this daily. I bought the glass bottles and fill them up for work. The only thing I don't like is that the water flow is soooo slow and it can take awhile to fill things up. I absolutely love this product. The city water here tastes terrible and has many toxic chemicals, but with this filter, it tastes 1000x better and I know that I am putting good, clean water into my body. it is insanely difficult to replace the filters. not just me, but for anyone who graciously accepts the challenge. there is like some vaccum seal that makes loosening the cartridge covers almost impossible. and no documentation that I can find on the site on this topic. arrgg.

I sent an email to Aquasana mentioning all the problems above and asking for spare parts. I got a reply WITHIN 2 HOURS --literally- from their Customer Support that apologized and sent me a brand new water system, free of charge. They also explained me that you can optionally subscribe to their "Water for Life" program, to regularly receive replacement filters at a discount as well as a free-of-charge insurance for your water system. Cool. this is amazing customer service. No more chlorine, metal, just a yucky taste, anymore!!! It works and it's a wonderful item to have.
